HTC Flyer - With mad pen skills

Ever since the iPad 2 has been unveiled, it has been all the rage with almost everyone around me. I'm not a big Apple fanboy and despite having cool specs and a sleek design, it doesn't turn me on as much as the HTC Flyer and is missing something that the Flyer has - a pen.

Froyo on your PC

Not possible? Think again. All you need is VMWare to install it and it's recommended to install it on an external USB drive. Even the WI-FI works so it's a great way to play around with Froyo if you haven't try it before. Too bad we can't make any phonecalls.

Silverlight-tan PV!

Now, this is interesting. Here's a silverlight promotional video from Microsoft Taiwan and Hikaru! The whole video you'll see later is in mandarin though, unlike Madobe Nanami's PV, and I don't have a slightest idea of what was being said. I would roughly guess it's an introduction of silverlight. If someone could translate what was said, it'll be much appreciated!

PC Monitor - Now For Android

Have an Android device and need to check out what's happening on your PC at home? PC Monitor is one useful app you would want to install in that phone and it function just like its iPhone counterpart. Log off accounts, view which processes are running and killing processes remotely is breeze too via a fully secured SSL connection. It currently works on Windows PCs though Linux/Unix support is on the way.

HTC 7 Mozart gets memory upgrade - but are you willing to take the risk?

Okay, so you bought yourself the latest HTC 7 Mozart, but it only has 8GB of memory - a class 4 8GB microSD card by SanDisk, which is never enough in my book. Andy Hamilton from Life in The Fast Lane decided to take the risk. The only problem is that it's hidden beneath a couple of layers and you'll have to void your warranty. Singing & Dancing Peko-chan Robot

Fujiya Co, Japan's nationwide chain of confectionary stores, has unveiled a singing and dancing Peko-chan robot. She's able to converese with people and is able to speak 357 and have 2 million different dialogues. Not only does she reply to your questions, she also ask quizzes, sing and dance, though it seems to be limited to shaking her head and arm swinging. She'll be hanging around Fujiya Ginza Building, Tokyo, from now till 21st Nov.

Banned White iPhone 4 Ad [Video]

"The camera? Really!? You can't release the white iPhone 4 because of the camera!? Are you f**king kidding me!?"

I like that quote...and rant. Here's a short advertisement clip right after the jump regarding the delay in the white iPhone 4. Apple has delayed its release to July and then was delayed again without giving any new dates except for 'until later this year'. Apple delayed it yet again til Spring 2011 and has now removed all traces of the white iPhone 4 from their website.

HTC HD7 gets (unofficial) 32GB upgrade

the::unwired mentioned the HTC HD7 runs on a microSD which comes with a choice of either 8GB in North America of 16GB in Europe but xda-developers decided that 8GB and 16GB is not enough and decides to give it an upgrade.

Simply take out the battery and look at the area next to the Sim card slot. That's where the microSD hides itself. You'll have to remove every screws and remove the plastic cover to reveal the slot. Then slip the microSD card out and replace it with a new microSD card. The OS on is in the ROM so it'll still be available after removing the card. You'll get an error message so you might have to do a few hard resets for it to work.

ComiPo! Manga Creator! (Video)

It's not easy to draw manga - it takes LOADS of practice and time just to make one, to the point of just giving up at times. But for those who just don't want to go through the lengthy hassle of drawing one, there's always ComiPo!.

ComiPo! is a manga sequencer that uses preinstalled templates such as characters, their hairstyle, clothes,  background, effects and many other things that can be seen in a manga. It uses 3D modeling and you can even insert your own images, which you'll see later, in a demo video, after the break!

Android Robot - It's Alive! Alive!!!

Google's mobile OS, Android, comes to life (not really 'alive') thanks to Japanese companies RT Corporation and Brilliant Service. It can be controlled using Android smartphones, and includes movable limbs. It can even open its mouth and was revealed at Google Developers Conference Tokyo.

Nintendo 3DS Priced at ¥25000 ($300)

Nintendo kept their promise of releasing the release date and pricing of their latest handheld device - the Nintendo 3DS. Japan will be getting their 3D gaming experience in their hands on February 26, 2011 priced at ¥25000. US and Europe gamers will be able to get their hands on it a month later in March. No price was announced.

The device will come together 2GB SD card and is available in two colors; Cosmos Black and Aqua Blue.

Who knows, but maybe Konami might release Project Love Plus at the same time with the 3DS...

Meet Microsoft's Silverlight-tan, Hikaru!

Hmm, first there's Madobe Nanami, now, here's Hikaru, the latest mascot for Silverlight. Now here's the weird thing - she's intended for the Taiwanese community. Hikaru means 'light' in Japanese, most probably a link to light in Silverlight. More info on her after the break!

PS3 New Firmware - USB Homebrew Now Impossible

Sony had just released firmware 3.42 for the PS3 as a minor update which includes additional security features. Once this update is installed, all instances of using the USB exploits has become impossible. SONY is pretty fast in its outtake of patching this exploit.

This update is also compulsory - meaning if they want to access the PlayStation Network, they'll need it which also includes playing of future games. So jailbreakers, plans for your next move?

iOS 4.0 vs iOS 4.1 - Performance Test on the iPhone 3G (Video)

All hell broke lose when the iOS 4.0 with it's lagging problem when running on the iPhone 3G. With the GM build of the iOS 4.1 released this week for the iPhone 3G, 3Gs, 4 and iPod Touch, Lifehacker made a video which compares the iOS 4.0 and iOS4.1 on the iPhone 3G. You'd see later in the video after the break, there's lots of performance difference.

Open-Source PSJailbreak

Sony has another new problem for the PS3 called PSGroove, an open-source PSJailbreak. With the PSJailbreak now under fire of a lawsuit, this new open-source jailbreak will have Sony face-palming itself, thinking of what to do next. In order to use the hack, the code must be downloaded and installed on an AT90USBkey or Teensy++ USB development board, after which homebrew folks will be able to execute unsigned third-party apps and games on the PS3. Currently the ability to boot ISO files is temporarily disabled, but a workaround should be available pretty soon. So Sony, what's your next move?
