Nintendo Bricks 3DS with Flashcart Use
Got yourself a Nintendo 3DS? Great! But if you're one of those who uses a flashcart to play games or planning to - I have bad news. Enterking, a Japanese retailer, has issued a warning that using equipment or customization that is illegal or not approved by Nintendo, the 3DS will automatically brick by system update. How true is it is still unsure and how Nintendo will push the update or how Enterking will be able to tell (maybe they are able to see the logs in the 3DS?). But to be better safe than sorry, stay away from Flashcarts.

Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright Trailer - Damn Awesome!
What happens when two greatest detectives for the Nintendo DS face-off? One hell of a game. Here's the trailer (with some subs) for Level 5 and Capcom's great clashes coming soon for the seemingly overpriced Nintendo 3Ds.

Nintendo kept their promise of releasing the release date and pricing of their latest handheld device - the Nintendo 3DS. Japan will be getting their 3D gaming experience in their hands on February 26, 2011 priced at ¥25000. US and Europe gamers will be able to get their hands on it a month later in March. Nintendo Blocks Flashcarts with Update
Those uses Flashcarts like the Acekard 2i, DSTTi, iPlayer, M3i Zero, Supercard DSTwo, EZ-Flash Vi, iSmart DS, Hyper R4 for their Nintendo DSi would not be able to use them anymore, thanks to console's new firmware 1.4.1U.
Nintendo has been fighting against these devices, specifically in Japan, Australia and UK as many gamers opt to download games online for free.
Future DSi consoles might come with this update and I'm thinking the 3DS might come with this firmware together with other anti-piracy protections as well. But as the Flashcarts can have their firmware updated, it'll not be long for updates or even releasing new models against these protections.
So what's going to happen next? No clue. Let's just see how this game unveil.

3DSWare and 3DSPlay with Nintendo 3DS?
With the Nintendo 3DS official name will be announce in the very near future, Nintendo registered Nintendo 3DS, N3DS and guess what, 3DSWare and 3DSPlay as well. 3DSWare sounded like the N3DS version of DSiWare while the 3DSPlay seems like WiiPlay. Equivalents to the Nintendo DSi's DSiWare and Wii's WiiPlay no? Sounds like a Nintendo is setting up a 3DS game store online.

Nostalgia all over again
When was the last time I saw the traditional Game Boy? It was so many years back that I don't quite remember. Some how, one way or another, Flickr user ‘CRTdrone‘ used a GBA and crammed everything to a Game Boy. It plays GB, GBC and GBA games. A really cool mod if I were to say so myself! Now to see if I can locate the L and R button...
