HTC Flyer - With mad pen skills

Ever since the iPad 2 has been unveiled, it has been all the rage with almost everyone around me. I'm not a big Apple fanboy and despite having cool specs and a sleek design, it doesn't turn me on as much as the HTC Flyer and is missing something that the Flyer has - a pen.

Canonical Ubuntu - Now for Tablets

If you're a big Ubuntu user like myself and love it, rejoice! Canonical is developing Ubuntu for tablets. It is based on Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick Meerkat) which is supposed to be release in October. The tablet version will be simplified and touch friendly and will also have on-screen keyboard for all those typing needs. Canonical is currently working with Freescale, Marvell, Texas Instruments, Pixel Qi and Intel  for this project. With Ubuntu 10.10 out in October, my guess is we might be able to see Ubuntu tablets by late fall.

It's the iPhone you've always wanted

Well, not really. This over sized iPhone is actually the Shanshui P72 and it runs on Windows XP tablet PC Edition 2005 instead of an iPhone OS. It comes with 7-inch WVGA screen, 1.2GHz VIA C7-M processor, choice 16GB or 32GB of storage and 1GB of DDR2 RAM. The tasty side is to come with WiFi and 3G connectivity, a 1.3 megapixel web cam, built in GPS and 3 USB ports with one of it a mini USB. It runs on a 2500mAh battery that lasts up to 3 hours.

While it look sleek and all, there are problems with it being big and heavy so you won't be holding it in your hands for too long but you still can plug in a keyboard and mouse and using it like any computer. I would love to see the reaction of others if they saw someone making calls with this! Wonder what's next? the XL-iPad?
