HTC Flyer - With mad pen skills

Ever since the iPad 2 has been unveiled, it has been all the rage with almost everyone around me. I'm not a big Apple fanboy and despite having cool specs and a sleek design, it doesn't turn me on as much as the HTC Flyer and is missing something that the Flyer has - a pen.

HTC 7 Mozart gets memory upgrade - but are you willing to take the risk?

Okay, so you bought yourself the latest HTC 7 Mozart, but it only has 8GB of memory - a class 4 8GB microSD card by SanDisk, which is never enough in my book. Andy Hamilton from Life in The Fast Lane decided to take the risk. The only problem is that it's hidden beneath a couple of layers and you'll have to void your warranty. HTC HD7 gets (unofficial) 32GB upgrade

the::unwired mentioned the HTC HD7 runs on a microSD which comes with a choice of either 8GB in North America of 16GB in Europe but xda-developers decided that 8GB and 16GB is not enough and decides to give it an upgrade.

Simply take out the battery and look at the area next to the Sim card slot. That's where the microSD hides itself. You'll have to remove every screws and remove the plastic cover to reveal the slot. Then slip the microSD card out and replace it with a new microSD card. The OS on is in the ROM so it'll still be available after removing the card. You'll get an error message so you might have to do a few hard resets for it to work.

HTC Schubert and HTC Ace in an all new design!

 
Two new HTC devices, the HTC Schubert and Ace, has been leaked with new designs as you can see later on after the break. Designs aside, the HTC Schubert looks a quite similar to the Nexus One while the Ace has a feel of the HD2.

HTC EVO 30FPS Cap Is Due To Hardware

Now this comes in as a surprise, at least to me. It was previously speculated that the 30FPS cap on the EVO is due to its software until a hack was out to fix this. Well according to HTC, the cap was necessary to support both the screen and HDMI output though we do know that xda-developers will have something to say about this.

Ubuntu Seen on the HTC HD2!

After HUbuntu has been found installed on the HTC HD2, 3 days after managing to boot Android with the patched HaRET, which is GREAT news for those who has been looking for an Android port (Finally!!). This means that the Android port can be seen in the very near future, both are Linux after all. There's no download yet as there's still more work need to be done. The HD2 sure is one tough nut to crack.

HTC EVO - capped at 30FPS!?

This really bite the dust. The HTC EVO has some issue with its framerate - being capped at 30FPS max. According to Roman Guy, Android framework engineer, their target is 60FPS. I doubt it's the hardware since it has top of the line specs but speculations says it not hardware limited but could be the ROM itself. Whichever it is, EVO users are simply hoping for a fix.

HTC EVO 4G ROM Available for Download

HTC EVO ROM has been leaked and is now available for download here! Guess it's the best next thing if you can't get you hands on the HTC EVO. I bet my money that XDA is busy tinkering with the ROM to port to other devices already!

HTC HD2 - New hope for Android?

Android is covering the headlines EVERYWHERE! Expect an Android port on the HTC HD2, maybe not now, but the developers at XDA has managed to get the Linux bootloader work on the HD2 and play a 720p as well. Check out the video if you don't believe me.

Android 2.2 made its way to HTC Eris

Android Froyo has made it's way to HTC Eris sooner than I thought. It's an unofficial ROM, is barely functional and the keys doesn't work. I could say it's a great achievement. Let's hope the dev-team will will produce better port next.

iHTC HD-2 - A HTC HD2 Knockoff

I can't stop myself and be amused by this little phone named iHTC HD-2. It resembles the HTC HD2 but upon closer inspection, it is using a 3.6 inch display instead of 4.3 inch and is missing that Windows button in the middle. Spec wise, it has a 533MHz processor, 256MB RAM, 256MB ROM, a 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus as well as Windows Mobile 6.5 and Huawei's Hisilicon K3 chipset. For a HD2 copy that thinks copyright can be used as a crapper, it ain't that bad with its price of $231. But hey, nothing beats the original! I found a video on youtube. It's in Chinese with no subs though.

Droid Incredible - Dismantling to its roots

Being an avid fan of HTC phones, I wouldn't miss a chance to watch one get disassembled either slow-mo or at record time. I would give anything just to have a go the HTC Droid Incredible but I guess the video is good enough.

With the Incredible selling like hotcakes, there wasn't enough stock for Verizon to sell and for those who order online, well, they get theirs within 10 days, which should be around May 14th or 15th. Well, anyways, the video by TechRestore is a 'must watch''. It has great music and sound effects which compliments their animation. I especially like the way they unboxed it.
