Hitachi 7mm hard disk
Hitachi has just unveiled their latest line of hard drive, the Hitachi Z. The 2.5" hard drive is only 7mm high and has rotational speed of 7200rpm, up to 16MB cache, a Serial ATA 3Gb/sec, consumes low wattage and is also quiet at at 1.9db idle 2.0db seek (depending of model). This means it can be incorporated to smaller notebooks, cost lesser and be much lighter if it is put together with Intel Core i-series ULV processors. Neat eh?
