iPad 3G - More stripping done!

Our pals at iFixit has done it once again! A round of applause please cause as soon as they get their hands on the iPad, the little gizmo couldn't stand a chance against those prying hands! It's not as shocking as it sounds as iFixit do what they does best; stripping.

There was some changes between the iPad and iPad 3G. Mainly it's because it comes with a micro-sim slot but there's another surprise - in comes with 5 antennas. There's one inside the Apple logo and one that seems to take up the whole of the LCD frame. Another thing to note of is that it also got the same baseband processor as the iPad and iPhone 3GS, the Infineon 337S3754 PMB 8878 X-Gold baseband IC 5Y06115 although it seems that Apple had it white-labeled to hide the manufacturer.

Check out iFixit's iPad 3G Teardown page to view more of iPad 3G's insides.
