Samsung came up top with 20-nm NAND Flash

Wow, 45-nm used to be all the rage but now, thanks to Samsung it will now change with their 20-nm flash memory and it will be faster and much cheaper.

Months after IM Flash Tech started producing their 25-nm flash, Samsung bursts their bubble with and came back with 20-nm. In March '09, Samsung has began producing 32Gb NAND with 30nm-class process technology. They have shipped samples to several customers and is planning to expand their production this year.

Samsung also claimed that it will be more reliable and is up to 30 percent faster than the 30-nm MLC NAND and will be 20MB/s read, 10MB/s write with their increased density and at the same time, lowered production costs. Good thing? Yes it is!
