Man sued Sony for PS3 firmware v3.21
A Californian man, Anthony Ventura, had sued Sony for its PS3 Firmware V3.21 which disables the ability to install Linux. "Older models that were equipped with the ability to install other OS is now obsolete" was the complaint and it was filed as an "intentional disable of useful features that were advertised originally".
Sony announced that it's removing security problems of function also pointed out that it is based on self-interest to anti-piracy. It involved users and millions of unrelated people and the plaintiff are demanding more compensation of more than $5,000,000.
