2TB used to be the largest drive, now Seagate has confirmed a 3TB hard drive. Sounds good? There's a catch - you'll need to be running a 64bit OS. The hard drive, however, is supported on Windows XP, although test results by Seagate shown that only 990MB of a 3TB drive could be available to you. This means that you'll need a rig that can handle Long LBA (Logical Block Addressing) with 64 bit versions of Vista, Windows 7 or Linux and the latest drivers and BIOS. Release dates are not confirmed yet but it is mentioned it could be late this year.
