iPad 3G, better late than never?

For those who have bought the iPad, start giving them away to your cats or dogs or start cursing Apple and ask them the great question of "Why!?". The reason? Well, there's a new pad in town and it's the iPad 3G.
I'm a frequent Apple website visitor and my God...my eyes widened so large that my eyeballs almost popped out when I saw a 3G iPad. It's a tad more expansive mind you. Each iPad cost $629, $729, and $829 for 16GB, 32GB and 64GB respectively. and ships by May 7th. Great thing is, the specs are the same, except that these new toys can connect to 3G networks and is recognizable by that black strip at the back.

Sounds good? There is catch though...if you own an iPhone and is thinking of switching your SIM card to the iPad, sorry bud, the SIM card ain't gonna fit. So how am I supposed to go to the internet? Well, you have a contract-free data plan by AT&T, and AT&T ONLY. To sign up all you have to do is connect to the internet via wi-fi with your iPad 3G, tap Settings and choose Cellular Data. Then type in your user information, select a plan, and enter your credit card information. The choice of plans are 250MB per month at $14.99 and Unlimited at $29.99. I reckon the Unlimited will be much more cheaper.

My guess is the same as anybody. There will definitely be a joke on the iPad 3G in youtube soon. I wonder what's next, the iPad 3Gs? Guys at CollegeHumor, please do your thing!
