Words has it that the classical anime Daiku Maryu Gaiking is now gonna have a Live Action movie. And yea, it's true! It was announce at Tokyo Animation Fair 2010 on 28th March with the title "Gaiking". It'll be produce by Matthew Gratzner and Jules Urbach.
It is said that both promised the movie will follow the anime storyline. I haven't seen the original Gaiking yet, but I've watched a retold of it a couple years back. Since Gaiking is a 'henshin' (transformation) type of robot, the movie will most likely rely heavily on CG animations like the trailer below:
The animation looks cool, so does the suit, though it does looks like it's going to feel hot if you were to wear one. I'm not sure when the movie will be out but most are speculating it'll be in 2011 or 2012.
